
"My
first question was: what could l possibly do at Calvin Klein? It's
all white walls and concrete floors".
Very soon, he learned
he would be doing a lot.
What he did in the stores and showrooms, he
began to do for the public relations and marketing groups allowing
him to move from visual director to Vice President & Creative Director
for Special Events.
"I took my interest and excitement in creating beautiful environments
from one level to another", says Calica. After bringing blue
chip artists like Dan Flavin and notorious Andy Warhol factory photographer
Christopher Makos to show their work at the Calvin Klein stores, Calica
found his niche.
Calica, armed with his focus, a new global perspective from his years living
and working abroad and an incredible passion for aesthetics, found many places
where he and his group could help.
